About You

You are a new (or not so new) mom who  struggles with core/pelvic floor weakness, back pain, leaking, diastasis recti, and/or a host of other postpartum issues.  You want a strong, functional body so you can do all the fitness-y things you love without thinking about what could be going wrong.  You want to get rid of the “mummy tummy” for good.  You want to feel like yourself again and regain the confidence you had before having babies. You need coach who understands the specific postpartum physical, mental and emotional struggles of a mom.  You need a step by step training plan to rebuild your core and pelvic floor, muscle strength and endurance, so that you can return to your life, do hard things, play with your kids without pain, do all the fitness-y stuff you love and feel like your strong amazing self.  I am here to get you there. 🙂  

The Philosophy

Pregnancy is a great adventure!   It has highs and lows and joy and tears.  And the postpartum period is no different.  Sometime women emerge from pregnancy completely unscathed.  Others ( the majority, actually) emerge with an entirely new body they don’t even recognize.  Every woman, every mother is made in the image of God, and she should never be at war with her body.   God gave us incredible gift of bearing children.  He made our bodies beautifully.  We have strong bodes that are able to withstand the massive task of pregnancy and childbirth.  We have bodies that are able to heal with the right tools and the right help and the right approach.  Just because your body has changed after having babies, does not mean it’s worse than before or that it’s broken.  It just needs time to heal and a little guidance to adjust, grow, rehab, and emerge stronger than before.  And Bonus!  If you’re a running mama and need help to get back to it, this is the PERFECT place for you.

I truly believe that every mama can look, feel, and function better after childbirth.  And not only that, but can actually get stronger, get tighter, get firmer and do it all with a glorious belly that will forever bear the marks of housing her children.  Those marks are badges of honor.  She will wear them proudly as her core heals, her pelvic floor strengthens and her body does exactly what she wants it to.  Do what you love mama – run, jump, climb, bike, wrestle, knit, crossfit, cook, push a stroller, lift heavy.  And do it all without pain or peeing yourself.  That’s my job – to help you do the things you love.  Your job is to love your body and put in the work it deserves to heal.

The Method 

How I train: Building blocks. 1) Function first – learn to breathe properly. 2) Create an environment of correct posture. 3) Restore core and pelvic floor and heal diastasis recti 4) Get those glutes on board! 5) Strength building in the core, the glutes, the legs and the upper body, 5) Endurance training 6) High intensity training for running,

How it’s delivered:

1. 1:1 Coaching.  I use a hybrid method of online coaching. You will have daily/weekly homework via videos and exercises I give you.  You will meet with me one to four times per month, either in person or via live Zoom Call to check in, trouble shoot, ask questions, assess progress and get your new workouts to do at home until our next meeting.

2. Join the AlphaMamas Fitness Club – a monthly membership where you’ll get all the tools and workouts and resources you need to get results!  This is the best option.  You get ongoing support from me and the AlphaMamas community to help you reach your goals.  I keep the club small so that I can deliver the best experience and the best results.  Enrollment opens twice a year.  Get on the wait list if you want to join when it opens! And, there are PRIZES.  Like, really good prizes!

What’s your goal?

First and foremost, my goal is to help you with function.  Heal your core and pelvic floor.  Get rid of back pain,  stop the leaking, tighten the tummy. Build a solid foundation for your body to be able to run again as far and as fast as you want.  Without pain and without peeing.

Beyond that, my goals are for you to reach your goals!  What do you want to achieve? Want to run a marathon? Great. Want to just stop peeing your pants when you walk with your stroller?  Perfect.  Want to find your worth in Jesus and feel better and more confident about yourself and your body?  That’s even better.  Whatever it is, I’ll help you. It will take work, but I will make it fun, inspiring, encouraging, and super simple.  Follow the plan.  Do the work. Get the results.  Get excited and jump up and down.  Without peeing yourself. 🙂

Run Strong Mama

Run Strong Mama is a return-to-running program for new (and not so new!) moms.  If you've had a baby (at some point), you love to run, but you're not sure how to do it without peeing yourself, hurting yourself, having back pain, or feeling like your core is going to spill out in front...   fear not! You've come to the right place.  Run Strong Mama is for you!  It's for all mama runners, no matter if you're brand new to running, or a seasoned marathon runner.  Bottom line is your post-baby self needs a little help to get back to (or start!) running again strong, safe and pain free.  Running should be fun.  Running should be free.  Running should feel awesome. And that's how you'll feel again after this program!
